7/11/2016: Campus L2TP VPN Service Update

UCLA Information Technology Services will update the Campus L2TP VPN service effective July 24, 2016 as part of our continuing goal to provide services that adhere to rigorous security standards.

If you connect to UCLA's L2TP VPN service using a Windows-based device, you will need to update your configuration settings. Instructions can be found here. Alternatively, you can use the Campus SSL VPN service, as it offers the most secure encryption currently deployed. Connecting to the SSL VPN service requires the Cisco AnyConnect client, which can be downloaded here.

If you use the L2TP VPN on a Mac OS, Android, or iOS device, you do not need to make any changes to your connection settings. Your configuration will automatically connect using the updated authentication protocol.

If you have any questions regarding the L2TP VPN service or assistance with connecting to the SSL VPN service, please contact the BOL Help Desk at (310) 267-4357 or at consult@ucla.edu.
