UPDATE: 9/24/2007, 7:00pm: The Wireless Authentication Portal has been restored to normal operations. If you have any questions or are experiencing other issues, please contact the BOL Help Desk at (310)267-4357 or at consult@ucla.edu.

9/23/2007, 8:00pm: During today's Bluesocket Wireless Authentication Portal maintenance, it was determined that the SSL certificate assigned to the devices was invalid. A user connecting to the Bluesocket Authentication Portal page will receive an "Invalid Certificate" error:

For Internet Explorer 7.0:
The user will receive a "Certificate Error: Navigation Blocked" error with a "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." message. To continue beyond this error page, please instruct the user to select the "Continue to this website" link, which will then redirect them to the usual portal logon page.

For Firefox users:
The user will receive a "Website Certified by an Unknown Authority" error with a "Unable to verify the identity of portal2.auth.ucla.edu as a trusted site." message. To continue beyond this error page, please instruct the user to select "Accept this certificate temporarily for this session" and click on the [OK] button. The portal logon page will then be displayed as usual.

Communications Technology Services (CTS) is aware of this issue and has a call into the issuing authority. Please visit this page for continuing updates or resolution.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or experience any difficulties outside the instructions above, please contact the BOL Help Desk at (310) 267-4357, option 1, or at consult@ucla.edu.
