12/08/2006: Network Maintenance on 12/27/06 UPDATE

The network maintenance that occured earlier today involved the physical relocation of various networking equipment, including some items that support the BOL mail service. A server that previously provided auxiliary mail services was taken offline as part of this maintenance activity. Unfortunately, code in the webmail application still referenced this server. This resulted in the webmail outage that occurred today between approximately 10:30am and 1:30pm. All references to the old server have been removed from the webmail codebase and users should no longer have problems connecting to webmail. We apologize for the inconvenience.


CTS Network Engineering will be conducting maintenance on the networking infrastructure related to Bruin OnLine mail services on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 from 8:00AM to 8:15AM.

During this maintenance period, mail services will be unavailable for a short time. No mail will be lost and access will be restored no later than 8:15AM that day.
