12/07/2006: BOL Mail Service Interruption UPDATE

UPDATE, 14:15: BOL mail services have been restored. The interruption in mail service was caused by the failure of an uninterruptable power supply (UPS). The failure caused systems to rollover to a backup UPS for power, but this rollover resulted in the backup UPS blowing a breaker and failing. Power has been restored and all systems are back up and running. Thank you for your patience.


At approximately 1:06pm on Thursday, December 7, mail service for some BOL users became unavailable. Users affected by the interruption will receive a "login failed" message when attempting to login. We are currently looking into the problem and hope to have it resolved shortly. We will update this message when the issue has been resolved.
