12/01/2006: BOL Webmail Service Upgrade

As part our continuing enhancements to Bruin OnLine services, we will be upgrading the webmail software suite, including the webmail and calendaring applications. In order to facilitate this upgrade, we must take the Bruin OnLine webmail service off line. The webmail suite of applications will be unavailable for ALL users from 10:00pm Sunday, December 24 through 10:00am Tuesday, December 26.

The upgraded webmail service will include some of the following features:

  • Improved performance and stability
  • Webmail interface for handheld devices (Smartphone, PDA, etc.)
  • Additional calendar enhancements, including improved sharing

During this timeframe, all webmail services will be unavailable. If you attempt to login to webmail during the maintenance, you will receive an error message. No incoming user mail will be lost, as messages will queue up until the servers come back online. All other methods for accessing email will remain available. Individuals utilizing an email client for POP or IMAP access to mail will have full access to their email during the upgrade.
