02/08/2001: BOL Modem pool intermittent outage 02/11/2001

Communications Technology Services (CTS) of UCLA, has scheduled a maintenance window in order to upgrade internal Campus Backbone Network (CBN) routers located at UCLA. Due to this upgrade, dial-up users to the Bruin OnLine regular and express modem pools may experience intermittent Internet access outages.

The scheduled maintenance window is scheduled as follows:

 
         Sunday, February 11, 2001
         Beginning:    07:00 am
         Ending:       11:00 am

Communications Technology Services (CTS) has scheduled a maintenance window
to upgrade the IOS code on all Campus Backbone Network (CBN) core and
access routers.  Depending on departmental physical CBN access
configurations, users may experience intermittent CBN access during the
upgrade.


Only one router will be upgraded at a time and each will require
approximately 15 minutes to have its IOS image upgraded and reloaded.  The
scheduled maintenance window is scheduled as follows:


    Sunday, February 11, 2001
    Beginning: 0700
    Ending:    1100


All CBN access routers and all departmental CBN connections will be affected.
