DEAN TULLSEN is the winner of the 1995 Pac-10 Hoop-
Pundits Pool, narrowly edging Tim Hough of Cal by 13
points. Dean, who is working on his doctorate in Computer
Architecture, is the second consecutive winner from the
University of Washington. However, unlike last year's winner,
Bill Trenko, he had a coherent strategy. In his own words:

"My method for picking winners: I rank the teams from top to
bottom, then figure that a home court advantage is worth
about two spots in the rankings. For picking point spreads:
I start with about a 5-point spread for home court, then
adjust for relative strength of the teams. Things to
remember for next year: young teams improve over the
season. Cal always does the opposite of what you expect."

Undoubtably, it was the years Dean spent at UCLA learning
from Larry Brown which gave him such an excellent knowledge
of the sport. In fact UCLA grads took three of the top four
        spots.

Here are the final standings. All ties are broken by the
        number of games correctly predicted.

        Thanks to everyone for participating.
