CHRIS ZANGMEISTER hung on the win the Y2K Pac-10 Hoop-Pundits Pool. He correctly predicted six of the ten bonus point categories to break a three-way tie for first (See Bonus Point Standings ).

Chris is a grad student in chemistry at the University of Arizona and his success was tied to the performance of the Wildcat team, predicting them to win all their games. He was also helped by picking Oregon to win most of their games and Stanford to win big over the weak teams. Many contestants did this, but Chris did it a little better than most.

Veteran contest entrant Shawna Nomura was second, and in an upset, usual contest doormat Bill Allen was third. In fourth was Doug Iverson, who had the best winning percentage, 80.9% (76-18), an excellent mark for predictions made previous to the season.
