Installing Spy Sweeper

Before beginning, please confirm that you have downloaded the SpySweeperInstaller.exe file to your desktop.

  1. To start the installer, please double-click on the SpySweeperInstaller.exe icon on your desktop.

  2. The installation will begin. Click Next.

  3. Click Install.

  4. Spy Sweeper will install all of the necessary files.

  5. When the installer completes, click Finish.

  6. Spy Sweeper has now been installed. We suggest running Spy Sweeper after you've completed the installation.

Running Spy Sweeper

  1. The first time you run Spy Sweeper, you?ll be asked to update the definitions. Please click Yes.

  2. Spy Sweeper will contact the server and update its spyware definitions.

    3. Once the definitions are updated, Spy Sweeper is ready to scan your system. Please click Sweep Now.

  3. Click Start.

  4. Spy Sweeper will scan your entire system for spyware and related malware. When it completes its scan, click Next.

  5. Spy Sweeper will list any spyware that it has found during its scan. Make sure each piece of spyware in the list that you want deleted has been checked and click Next.

  6. Spy Sweeper will quarantine all of the selected items. Your scan is now complete. Click Finish.

  7. After you've scanned your system the first time, minimize Spy Sweeper by clicking the minimize icon in the upper right hand corner of the application window. Spy Sweeper will now protect your system from spyware. The Spy Sweeper icon will be displayed in the system tray.

  8. If you ever shut down Spy Sweeper, it can be relaunched by double-clicking the Spy Sweeper icon on your desktop.
