Configuring Sophos Anti-virus for Macintosh 9.x
To configure Sophos Anti-Virus for Macintosh 9.x, open the Sophos Anti-Virus Application SWEEP.
- Click on the Edit Menu > Preferences.

Preferences
- The SAV Preferences dialog box will appear. Under InterCheck
Mode, click on Virus Action. On the right-hand
side, place a check mark next to Enable automatic
disinfection.

Intercheck Disinfection options
- Back in the Sophos Anti-Virus application, click on the Intercheck tab and make sure that Intercheck is running. If
Intercheck is not running, then click on the Play button (the
button with the green triangle).

Intercheck Play
- Your computer is now configured for virus protection using the Sophos Anti-Virus
system. Once a month, you will need to manually update the virus definitions and
Sophos Anti-Virus program in order for Sophos to protect you from the latest viruses.

Note: If you have just installed Sophos on your computer, you will need to manually update the virus definitions immediately before you are protected from the latest viruses.
