Installing Firefox 2.0

These instructions will guide you through the download and installation of Firefox for Macintosh OS X. Per Mozilla's requirements, the earliest OS version Firefox will run on is OS X 10.2.x .

1. Double-click on the firefox-2.0.0.4.dmg icon that you downloaded. In some cases, your operating system may automatically open the disk image.



2. Click and Drag the Firefox icon to the Applications folder on your hard drive to install the application.



3. Drag the disk icon to the trash in order to unmount it. You may also drag the .dmg file to the trash to delete it.



4. Go to the Applications folder and double-click the Firefox icon. Firefox 2.0 will now start.



5. Once the application has started, you can right-click the Firefox icon and select "Keep in Dock" to make it easier to start Firefox in the future.
