Installing Eudora 6.1.1 (Classic)

For PowerPC and Mac OS 9.0 or higher with with CarbonLib 1.6. To install CarbonLib 1.6 go to Apple's website http://www.info.apple.com , search for CarbonLib 1.6.

We encourage users to regularly use an email client such as Eudora, Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger to download their email to a local machine rather than only leaving the messages on the email server. This ensures that you have a backup copy on your machine.

  1. Double-click on the Eudora 6.1.1 installer icon.
  2. After it is done UnStuffing, click on the file it unstuffs, Eudora611os9.
  3. Click Continue.
  4. Read the informational text and click Continue.
  5. Read the License Agreement. Click Agree.
  6. Select Install Eudora for the first time and click Install to begin the installation. If you are upgrading, select Update an Eudora install to version 6.1.1 for OS9.
  7. Eudora will be installed into the default directory. Click Install.

  8. The installer will copy files to your hard drive.

  9. Click Quit. You have now completed the installation of Eudora 6.1.1.
