Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
A VPN is a secured private network connection built on top of publicly accessible infrastructure. The VPN provides an alternative to using the proxy server for remote access to campus resources as well as a secure method to authenticate to the campus wireless network. In addition to using the BOL-provided Cisco VPN client, users may use the built-in VPN client (PPTP) in Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7.
Cisco VPN Client
BOL provides IPSEC VPN connectivity through the Cisco VPN Client software. Export of the Cisco VPN Client, which contains restricted cryptographic software, is strictly prohibited without Cisco's consent. Please see the Cisco Contract Compliance Provisions for more information. Please choose the operating system in order to download the appropriate software:
