Setting up a filter according to From, To, Subject, or Size

  1. Login to the BOL Webmail at https://mail.ucla.edu/.
  2. Click on the Filters link in the navigation panel on the left hand side of the screen (you may need to "expand" the Mail section to see it).
  3. Click on the New Rule icon.
  4. Under Conditions, and next to From, To, Subject, or Size, type in the condition you want.
    • If you want all emails from abc@def.com to be filtered to a folder, type abc@def.com next to If message 'From:' contains:.
  5. Under Actions, next to File into: select the folder you want to move that mail into.
    • You may need to create the folder beforehand. To create a new folder, you'll need to click on the Folders icon along the top of the screen on the primary Mail page (INBOX). Select Create Folder from the Choose Action: drop-down menu. Enter the name of the new folder. Your folder has now been created.
  6. Click on Save Changes.(See Figure below)
