Server-side filtering
Server-side filtering allows you to apply filtering rules on your mailbox on the server before you download it to your email program. This type of filtering is beneficial since you will not need to spend time downloading all of the unwanted mail, and then filtering them out in your email program.
Creating Folders
With Server-side filtering, you can filter to subfolders in your mailbox. You will first need to create the subfolders inside the BOL Webmail Interface. Please note that these folders and their contents count against your 75MB Mailbox quota. Please refer to the instructions below in order to create folders inside Webmail.
If you have set up your email client to use IMAP, these folders will show up on your local IMAP client as well. For instructions to configure your email client to use IMAP, please visit
