SSL Configuration - OS X Mail

NOTE: The instructions below apply for both IMAP and POP settings.

1. Click on the Mail pull down-menu and select Preferences. Click Accounts, and specify your Bruin OnLine email account from the Accounts window on the left.

2. Select the Advanced tab.



3. Click on Use SSL.
4. Under Authentication, select Password at the pull down menu.
5. Go back to the Account Information tab.
6. At the bottom, click on the Options button.

NOTE: If the Outgoing mail server is something other than mail.ucla.edu, you are FINISHED.

7. If your outgoing mail server is mail.ucla.edu, click on Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
8. Select Password for Authentication and fill in your Bruin OnLine username and password in the appropriate boxes.
