SSL Configuration - Entourage 2004

NOTE: The instructions below apply identically for both IMAP and POP settings.

NOTE: In some instances Entourage 2004 will not support SMTP using SSL: Microsoft recommends downloading Service Pack 1 for Office 2004.

  1. From the menu bar, select Tools -> Accounts.

  2. From the Accounts window, select the account you want to edit and then click the Edit button.

  3. Select Click here for advanced receiving options.

  4. Click This POP(or IMAP) service requires a secure connection (SSL).

    5. NOTE: If your Outgoing mail server is ANYTHING other than mail.ucla.edu, you are FINISHED. Click OK.

  5. If your outgoing mail server is mail.ucla.edu, select Click here for advanced sending options.

  6. Click SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL).

  7. Click SMTP server requires authentication.

  8. Click Use same settings as receiving mail server.

  9. Click OK.
