05/20/98: Ben2 System Stabilized

This morning the Ben2 system experienced a hardware failure. The system was brought up in a limited state during the early portion of the day. The system was taken down between from 3 pm through approximately 4:30 pm to do for hardware replacement and maintenance. The system has been stabilized and is now operating normally. Mail sent during the outage was queued by the mail server and will be delivered as the queue is processed.
