04/14/98: Bruin OnLine Server Outage (4/14)

Hello,

Several of the Bruin OnLine servers are currently not functioning properly. At this time, the POP server and the Ben2 system are both down. This means that you will not be able to retrieve your mail using a POP style client (Eudora, Netscape, etc.), and that you will not be able to access Ben2 services, such as Pine, Orion, mail forwarding, password change, etc.

The SMTP system is functioning properly. Incoming mail or mail being sent out is being held in a queue for later delivery. No mail will be lost.

We will post more information as soon as it is available.
