Bruin OnLine Mail Server Problems (11/25/96)

The Bruin OnLine POP mail server has been unstable today due to a series of problems. People using Eudora (or other POP mail clients) could not retrieve new mail this morning from about 6:00am to 7:30am. Mail retrieval was also down at about the 3 o'clock hour in the afternoon.

The server should currently be back in operation. The source of the problem is being worked on and will hopefully be completely solved soon.

Please be aware that these problems should not have resulted in any loss of email. Any mail sent to you should arrive as normal. Only the ability to retrieve your new mail was malfunctioning.
