BEN2 Scheduled Outage For Upgrade (10/29/96)

Ben2 services (traveller's email, password changing, Orion access) will be unavailable tomorrow, 10/30/96, from 6:00 am until about 7:30. During this time, IBM will be upgrading the four CPUs in the SMTP server from 601s to 604s, and increasing the clock speed from 75 mHz to 112.5 Mhz. This will about double the capacity of that machine.

The outage will not affect dial-up access to Bruin OnLine.
