3/31/2009: Power Outage Affecting BOL Services

UCLA Facilities has completely restored power to the data center. All Bruin OnLine servers have been placed back in production. If you experience any issues accessing Bruin OnLine services after services were restored, please restart your computer to reestablish your connection. CTS's Infrastructure Environmental Services and Network Operations have been notified of a power outage at one of the data centers that houses some of Bruin OnLine's servers. This outage should only affect users minimally as the servers have been pulled out of production. Currently, the services that are affected include:
Sophos update servers
Usenet news
SMTP servers
mail.ucla.edu servers
If you are unable to connect to the services above, or were connected and subsequently disconnected, please restart your computer to reestablish your connection. UCLA Facilities is onsite and has estimated to resolve the issue by noon today. Please visit this webpage for any updates on the situation.
