12/19/2008: VPN on Mobile Devices - 1/5/2009
With the update of the iPhone/iPod Touch firmware to version 2.0 earlier this summer, CTS is pleased to announce full support for the Cisco VPN client on the iPhone and iPod Touch platforms. In order to support the largest number of clients and provide the highest level of security, PPTP connections will no longer be supported on these platforms beginning January 5, 2009. Windows Mobile devices will then fully support PPTP VPN Connections and will not require an additional third-party client. For laptops running Mac OSX, Windows Vista, and Windows XP, the Cisco VPN client is the recommended connection method.
