10/28/2008: Sophos Anti-Virus Support for Windows 95/98/NT Ending 12/31/2009

Sophos has notified UCLA's Software Central that December 31, 2008 is their end-of-life date for supporting Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 95/98/NT. Software Central has negotiated with Sophos to obtain a one year extension of this date, so UCLA will continue to have this coverage through December 31, 2009.

If your computer is running Windows 95/98/NT and you wish to continue using Sophos Anti-Virus under UCLA's agreement beyond December 31, 2009, you will first need to uninstall your version of Sophos then upgrade your computer to a newer version of Windows. Once Sophos is uninstalled and Windows has been updated, you can then download and install the newest version of Sophos found on Bruin OnLine's software page http://www.bol.ucla.edu/software/.
