3/23/06: BOL Mail Server Maintenance on 3/29/06

The CTS Systems Group will be performing maintenance on the Bruin OnLine mail storage system on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 from 1:00AM to approximately 2:00AM. The storage system will be taken down for maintenance, on the recommendation of the vendor, to ensure the equipment is running at optimal levels with full redundancy.

During the maintenance, email accounts and all mail services (Webmail, POP, IMAP) will be unavailable to all users. Please be assured that no incoming user mail will be lost as messages will be stored in the queue until the storage systems come back online. Users will not be able to logon to Webmail during the outage, and attempts to access mail via an email client (Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, etc.) will result in generic connection failure errors.
