2/23/2006: Sophos False Positives on Mac OS X Operating Systems

On Tuesday, February 21, some users of Sophos Anti-Virus on Macintosh computers may have experienced reports of false positives for certain files. These files were not infected. They were being reported as infected due to a bad virus definition file from Sophos. Sophos has sinced corrected the problem and users who've updated their virus definitions since the afternoon of February 21 should no longer experience the "infected" file warnings.
