1/23/2006: BOL Password Reset Tools

Bruin OnLine has rolled out changes to the online, self-serve account tools. Users can now modify their password-reset options. Using this new feature, users can create or enable/disable a challenge/response phrase and enable/disable the ability to use the last four numbers of their social security number as a password-reset mechanism. The social security reset mechanism is enabled for all accounts by default.

Please be aware that if you disable the social security reset mechanism without setting a challenge/response phrase, your only means of resetting a forgotten password is to visit the Bruin OnLine Help Desk in person with photo identification.

The online account tools are available at https://logon.ucla.edu. The new option is "Set My Password Options".

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions please contact the BOL Help Desk at (310)267-4357, option 1, or at consult@ucla.edu.
