11/22/2004: BOL Mail Service Enhancements COMPLETE

The Bruin OnLine mail quota enhancement has been completed. All BOL account holders now have 50 megabytes (MB) of storage space. You can verify and begin using your additional space by logging into the BOL webmail client at https://mail.ucla.edu/.

As part of Bruin OnLine's continuing service enhancements, the email storage quota for Bruin OnLine users will be increased to 50 megabytes (MB), effective 11/22/2004. This new quota is more than triple the current limit and is one of several pending upgrades we are undertaking to meet the needs of our users. The largest message size limit will remain 10 MB.

In order to facilitate this enhancement, the Bruin OnLine mail servers will be taken offline one at a time for upgrades over the next few weeks. Each user will experience an outage from midnight to 8:00am on one of the following consecutive Sundays: November 7th, November 14th or November 21st.

Users will be notified via email of when their particular outage will take place. During this time, all mail services will be unavailable for users whose accounts reside on these servers. No incoming user mail will be lost, as messages will queue up until the servers come back online.
