6/23/2004: BOL Mail Server Emergency Maintenance Outage

Today at 3:55PM, a hardware fault was detected on one of the Bruin OnLine mail storage servers. The server was taken out of service for emergency maintenance. The fault was corrected and full service was restored at 5:40PM. The outage only affected the individuals with accounts hosted by that server. All incoming e-mail messages were queued, and normal delivery was reestablished. All users should be able to access their accounts fine now.
