08/07/03: Campus Mail Server smtp.ucla.edu Denial of Service

The Campus outgoing mail server (smtp.ucla.edu) seems to be experiencing a suspected Denial of Service attack as of 10:00 AM this morning, resulting in intermittent refusal of connections to customers attempting to use smtp.ucla.edu. Campus mail system administrators are working on resolving the problem. We will keep this announcement updated.
