02/24/03: BOL SMTP Authentication Outage

Authentication on the Bruin OnLine SMTP servers was unavailable from 9:00PM on Sunday, February 23rd until 9:50AM on Monday, February 24th. SMTP authentication was unavailable via mail.ucla.edu and users may not have been able to send out any email messages if they were using mail.ucla.edu as their SMTP server with authentication enabled. The problem has since been resolved.
