03/19/02: BOL Services Intermittent Emergency Network Outage - RESOLVED

As of 12:10PM this afternoon, the problem has been resolved. Please contact the BOL Helpdesk at (310)825-7452 if you have any further problems.


Bruin Online is currently experiencing intermittent network issues. The BOL Mail Servers, Web Server, FTP Server, News Server and Proxy Server are experiencing connection problems (inability to connect and connection timeouts) due to the network issue.

BOL Services will be intermittently unavailable 03/19/02 between 10am-11am in order to address this problem

No email or data on BOL servers will be lost, as this is a network issue involving accessibility to the servers via the network. The BOL modem pool will not be affected. Updates will be posted as more information becomes available.

CTS Network Operations Center is aware of the problem and is currently involved in finding a solution. Please do not contact them regarding this matter, as they are well aware of the situation and are working as quickly as possible towards resolving the issue.
