01/02/2002: Bruin Online Now Supports Windows XP

The Bruin Online Help Desk now supports dial-up networking connections for Windows XP. Please visit the following URL for the Dial-Up Networking Profile Creator and manual configuration instructions for Windows XP

The following Bruin Online software programs have been tested to work with Windows XP, however they are not officially supported by software manufacturers:

• Eudora Pro 5.1
• Netscape Communicator 4.77
• Internet Explorer 5.5
• Host Explorer 6.1
• CuteFTP 2.5
• WS_FTP LE
• McAfee VirusScan 4.5.1 with Service Pack 1

Unfortunately, PowerTerm 6.1 does not work with Windows XP.

You will need to install Service Pack 1 for McAfee VirusScan 4.5.1 for it to properly work with Windows XP.

While we have not had any verified issues with Eudora and the recent release of Microsoft Windows XP, we are still currently testing Eudora with Windows XP. We do not have a time frame for when testing will be completed. If you do find any issues that you believe are specific to Eudora and Windows XP, please send a description of the issue to eudora-bugs@qualcomm.com.
