09/11/2000: Qualcomm Eudora 5.0 updater - Not yet available for UCLA

Although Eudora 5.0 was made available today (09/11) off the Eudora website, this version is not yet licensed to the UCLA campus. The current UCLA site license is only valid for versions of Eudora up to 4.3.x.

Please do NOT download the 5.0 updater from the Eudora website until this issue is resolved. Updating to 5.0 through the Eudora website will convert your current Paid Mode Eudora into Eudora 5.0 Sponsored Mode (the version with advertisements).

Version 5.0 will be available from the BOL website in Paid Mode as soon as this information is available for site licensees from Qualcomm. If you have any questions about this issue, please email consult@ucla.edu.
