Visitors to meet members of the FWC Board and Section Chairs.

and spouses were also invited. See photos below.

Newcomers Chair Barbara (center, third row), are, left to

Information Literacy; Cynthia; Helle-Marit and Eric;

refreshments; Glorya and Bette; third row, Eleanor; Barbara;

The FWC is
one of the oldest support groups on the UCLA campus. Our
members come from diverse backgrounds and all corners of
campus to enjoy many educational and social activities. FWC
currently has more than twenty
Special Interest Sections for you to sample including
everything from Book and Bridge groups to Bicycling, Tai Chi,
Tennis and Walking/Hiking; from Conversational French, German
or Spanish to International Cooking and Let’s Do Lunch; from
Movies and Travel to Sonata (opportunities to enjoy and/or
share personal talents in the arts in new, innovative ways);
and from Writers and Genealogy to Garden Tours and Safety. In
addition, the Galleries and Sights section explores places of
interest in and around the Los Angeles area. And the Birthday
Club helps members get better acquainted as they celebrate
their birthdays and individual histories. As you can see,
there is something for everyone!
If you have come to UCLA in
2007 or 2008 or if you are returning to FWC, we invite you to
join FWC as a Newcomer and attend our General Meetings and
Special Interest Sections. For more information, please
